Miner

The mine-museum installation has ended since 03-06-2008. But the miner has been adopted by the volunteers of the museum and will  permanently be part of the mine-museum’s collection. So for those who are interested feel free to visit the museum.

It is a lovely museum,  where you can get a guided tour by a formal miner. They give the best tours, telling tales from own experience and right from the heart. I have a lot of respect for these formidable men! What I found most impressive was the realization of the human potential and strength, considering the almost superhuman conditions in which these miners did their jobs. Really awesome! And the collection of tools, devices and machines is really impressive.
